Inspiration for me comes in so many forms. I am totaly drawn to whimsical and fantasy art and designs. I love designing for children and always enjoyed drawing things for my siblings and my own children. Now I got to do it for the newest born.

I wanted to give something completely unique from anything I have ever designed yet. The colors were based on the color scheme she has in her nursery. In developing the layout and colors I wanted it to be bright and cheerful, something that would make the baby ask a million questions as she grew about what all the things in the painting are, about what colors and such. This would also help her to learn and keep my sister entertained for hours. Ha, I had to put that in there, Tarah!.

This was such a fun undertaking and I cannot wait to put the next one together. But for now enjoy! And thank you again for looking at my work.

About my Childrens Illustrations

When I am designing, it just comes from inspiration around me and in my imagination. It might be a simple picture or a thought that inspires me. Sometimes my art is well thought out and sometimes it is a spur of the moment idea. I like to create unique pieces that bring happiness, intrigue, and inspiration to others. This childrens illustration piece was inspired by the birth of my new niece and had been a complete eye opener to a new realm of designing and painting.
